Ylistaro is a small community in South Ostrobothnia, Finland, situated along river Kyrö. After a busy weekend visiting city centres and museums with my cousin Tuija Hansen, it was a beautiful location to rest a couple of nights; while in the day travelling nearby to Isokyrö ~ where our grandfathers are from.
Ylistaro is known for the many mills that once speckled the riverscape. Here we visited one converted into a cafe!
And lastly, some embroidery and quirks found around our AirBNB & some watercolour painting of the lilac bush by the river in the back yard.
